If you were to ask me who some of my favorite artist were, I think Wyatt and Fletcher Shears would be the first who pop up in my head. Together they perform as The Garden and separate they have their own equally amazing solo projects. Wyatt producing music under the name Enjoy and Fletcher as Puzzle. I first discovered the Garden twins last year. I had heard of them before but never really looked into it, so one random night I sat down and decided to listen to their albums, watch some music videos, and check out interviews. That's the night I fell in love.

Their first, self titled album, is full of songs each around 30 seconds long. While they are short, each song really showcases their individual talents of composing music that exemplifies their skills on guitar, drums, etc. Skip ahead a few years and you have their album haha. Some of my favorite bops on it include All Smiles Over Here :), Egg, and We Be Grindin'. During the summer they released a few singles (along with accompanying music videos), Call this Number Now is my favorite. Right now they are going on tour for their latest EP, U Want the Scoop? which I'm going to, and I am very excited! As for their solo projects, I think they individually have such different and unique styles. Enjoy is somewhat similar to the Garden's sound, both having that homemade beach rock style, but the Garden is a little more experimental punk at times. Puzzle on the other hand is synth heavy, giving a more techno dance atmosphere. Below I have a link to a playlist I made compiling all my favorite songs by the twins.

Wyatt and Fletcher are two of the most kooky, genuinely unique, effortlessly talented, and cool dudes I have ever heard of. In all their interviews they have this laid back and care free aura about them. You can't help but be infatuated by their mysteriousness. Dazed uploaded a documentary, Twinheads a film by Liza Mandelup, showcasing the twins in their Orange County origins. The film is only about 13 minutes long, give it a watch. You really see how strong the twins relationship is, and how it fuels their process in producing such incredible art.

The Shears twins are both geniuses in my mind, and blow me away with every album they put out. They may be too quirky and weird in the best way for some, but if you take the time to delve into their discography, it will definitely pay off. Thanks for reading guys, catch you next week!
